Bachelor’s Program in Interdisciplinary Engineering (IDE)’s Response on Admissions of AY 2021 to COVID-19

We have been monitoring any changes made in SAT and ACT standardized test dates and have determined to temporarily relax the test requirement policies for AY 2021 applicants. The standardized test such as SAT and ACT listed in IDE’s Application Guidelines will be optional for AY 2021 applicants. This is a one-year exception due to the current extraordinary circumstances and all prospective students who are able to submit their scores are encouraged to do so. However, there will be no penalty for those who are not able to submit scores. The TOEFL or IELTS test score to demonstrate English proficiency is still required for those applicable to submit. We also accept the Duolingo English Test for AY 2021 applicants.

Graduate Programs

In general, Master and PhD degrees are on the basis of research, and students are accepted to specific laboratory groups.

The first step is normally to identify and contact a suitable professor.  You can find professors by looking at graduate school websites, or via our Researcher Database.  Graduate programs are managed by each department individually, so you need to contact the program office with questions or problems.  Normally, there is a contact email on the program website.  Please refrain from using the contact form on this website for program inquiries or to try to contact prospective supervisors.

Please note, the advice here is general.  You should carefully check the program website for specific details, and email the relevant program offices if you have any questions.
