Japanese-German Interpreter Training Seminar

Since 2011 the Bonn Office has been hosting an annual Japanese-German Interpreter Training Seminar in the Heidelberg area. Its goal is to foster the network formation of people, that are interested in Japanese-German interpreting or in interpreting in general. Moreover, it serves to deepen a mutual information exchange. Since 2015 the seminar is sponsored by the Japanese Cultural Institute Cologne (The Japan Foundation).

Briefing sessions for future exchange students at the University of Tsukuba

 Regular briefing sessions are held for students of our German partner universities planning to take part in the University of Tsukuba’s exchange programs. Here, experienced former exchange students help their juniors prepare and give an account of student life in Japan. So far briefing sessions were held for students from our partner universities in Bonn, Cologne, Berlin, and Halle.

Information sessions at international schools

 In cooperation with Waseda University, the University of Tsukuba Bonn Office is holding information sessions in Germany and its neighboring countries to not only present student life at the University of Tsukuba but also to provide high school students and their parents an insight into the entrance examination system at Japanese universities for foreign/international high school graduates.
