A welcome party for international students organized by the university president was held at the area 2 café on October 16.
The Second Manner-up Campaign for Parking Bicycles for 2015 was held for five days from October 5 to 9 in cooperation with the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD), the Division of Student Welfare, and the Division of Career Services.

The University of Tsukuba held its first ever “French Cultural Week” in the 8-day period between September 27 and October 4 at the university campus and BiVi Tsukuba.

Inauguration Ceremony for IIIS Building
The University of Tsukuba International Institute for Integrative Sleep Medicine (IIIS) established a new research building, the IIIS Building, at the Tsukuba campus. An inauguration ceremony was held on September 29. More than one hundred people affiliated with IIIS attended the ceremony.

The number of new students in fall 2015 is, 58 undergraduate students and 158 graduate students.
Tsukuba Alumni Network Launched
The University of Tsukuba launched a Tsukuba Alumni Network (T-Net) to strengthen the overseas alumni network. T-Net allows you to register and update your information, search for your classmates and send messages, and distribute event information on local alumni groups.
The University of Tsukuba has concluded a partnership agreement with the University of Bordeaux, and has promoted joint research and academic exchanges between the two universities.
Judo Athletes Claim Victory at 2015 Summer Universiade and World Judo Championships Astana 2015
Three members of the University of Tsukuba Judo Club made a courtesy visit to university board members on September 24 to report on their performances at the 2015 Summer Universiade and the World Judo Championships Astana 2015.
The graduation and degree conferring ceremonies for September 2015 was held at the University Hall on September 25, 2015.
Graduating students included 8 undergraduate students and 81 graduate students.
An inauguration ceremony for the University of Tsukuba Innovation Medical Research Institute was held on August 19. About a hundred people affiliated with the institute attended the ceremony.
A delegation from the Tashkent State Technical University made a courtesy visit to President Kyosuke Nagata on September 10.
