Delegation from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visits University of Tsukuba

On December 19, 2017, Dr. Yktiyar Paltore, Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies, Prof. Natalya Yem, Head of Department of the Far East, and Dr. Takashi Ninomiya, Japanese language teacher of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) made a courtesy visit to Vice President Caroline Benton and Vice Executive Director for Global Affairs Yoshiaki Sato at the University of Tsukuba. The delegation from KazNU then participated in the 26th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The following day, the delegation visited Dr. Shigeo Osonoi, Provost for Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Dr. Hiroshi Yamada, Provost for Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, back at the university.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the University of Tsukuba's Campus-in-Campus (CiC) and double degree programs.
