Japan College Degree Programs in English

Undergraduate Programs

Students from around the world can choose to study in nine undergraduate schools here at the University of Tsukuba. We have programs in taught entirely in English in three fields: Life & Environmental Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social & International Studies.

Masters Programs

A number of Masters degree programs are also offered by the university, providing students the opportunity to gain a higher level degree from one of Japan's premier research universities.

Doctoral Programs

Over three hundred research institutions are located in and around the University of Tsukuba in Ibaraki Prefecture. Students and researchers have the opportunity to work in a truly unique science city that emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.

Global Initiative for Sports Neuroscience (GISN) 2017 Forum to be held on February 27

The one-day International GISN Forum "For Development of Exercise Prescription Enhancing Cognitive Functions" will be held on February 27, 2017 (Mon) in the University of Tsukuba (Building 5C, Room 216) from 9:00 to 17:00. It is open to all faculty members, staff, and students.

Open-Talk/ Presentation on Exchange Program with USP on February 8, 2017

A talk on the study program at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) for University of Tsukuba students and staff will be held on February 8 (Wed) 14:00 at the Central Library on campus. Speaker is Vivian Viviani, Technical Director of USP's International Cooperation Committee in USP.

International programs in science and social sciences

Our international degree programs offer September entry allowing easy application and entry for international students, are taught and administered entirely in English, and provide comprehensive student support and Japanese language training. Furthermore, we charge internationally competitive tuition fees, and offer a range of scholarships and fees waivers.
